Painting

Painting, by definition is the output of process or art of using paint, in a picture, as a protective coating, or as decoration. In deeper meaning, painting is a way to express the idea, emotion, and thoughts of the painter or the artist. A two-dimensional art forms. The forms, lines, colors, tones, and textures of this language are utilized in a variety of ways to create perceptions of volume, space, movement, and light on a flat surface. The elements of this language—its shapes, lines, colors, tones, and textures—are used in various ways to produce sensations of volume, space, movement, and light on a flat surface in order to represent real or supernatural phenomena, to interpret a narrative theme, or to create wholly abstract visual relationships. These parts are integrated into expressive patterns to depict actual or supernatural events, interpret a narrative topic, or create completely abstract visual associations.

               Benedicto Cabrera was born on April 10, 1942, in Malabon, Philippines, and studied at the University of the Phillippines. Napoleon Abueva

               Napoleon V. Abueva, a Bohol native, was the youngest National Artist awardee at the time, at the age of 46. Abueva called the "Father of Modern Philippine Sculpture," was instrumental in shaping the local sculpture landscape into what it is today. He has worked with a wide range of materials, including hardwood (molave, acacia, langka wood, ipil, kamagong, palm wood, and bamboo) as well as adobe, metal, stainless steel, cement, marble, bronze, iron, alabaster, coral, and brass. Abueva developed "buoyant sculpture" - art designed to be viewed from the surface of a tranquil pool — as one of his early ideas in 1951. Abueva had a one-man performance at the Philippine Center in New York in the 1980s. Ildefonso Santos

Ildefonso Paez Santos, Jr. made a name for himself in the Philippines by pioneering the practice of landscape architecture, and allied field of architecture, and then produced four decades of exemplary and engaging work that included hundreds of parks, plazas, gardens, and other outdoor settings that have improved contemporary Filipino life. Santos, Jr., a Malabon native, made his mark with the Makati Commercial Center, where he pioneered a new idea of outdoor commerce complete with manicured walkways, fountains, and sculptures. The essential public landscape in Paco Park was Santos, Jr.'s contribution to modern Filipino landscape architecture. His most recent artworks/projects of him were the Tagaytay Highland Resort, the Mt. Malarayat Golf and Country Club in Lipa, Batangas, and The Orchard Golf and Country Club in Imus, Cavite.
